Andrew G November 8, 2011 at 7:08 pm: depends on the tool.dewalt,bosch,porter cable,and makita are all tops.black + decker, milwakee,skil,and craftsman are ok.ryobi and generic brands tend to scrape bottom.

Dewalt drills, Milwaukee saws and ridged. I even use the old timers BD and skill
the Milwaukee has a better and cheaper battery for the buck and the power is great.
Dewalt is the one I grab first because I own so many of them, when a battery goes bad it’s cheaper to buy the tool with new battery’s than to buy just the battery’s.
Makita has a good product but the life is short runs strong but short life
