actually a jig saw is a sabre saw. That is the original name. A scroll saw has the same or similar blades but is not portable. So the reason he calls it a scroll saw is because a sabre saw is a portable scroll saw technically. So leave the guy alone he is not a moron. All of you “modern” carpenters need to know your roots and not just what the “new” dumb tool is at home depot.
